INTRODUCTION

You only live once! But if you come to the Island of Bali and experience our friendly people and wonderful culture, it’s possible, that like us, you will live many lifes and be able to surf all the waves that this fantastic planet has to offer !
So what are you waiting for ? Come and join us at Balangan Wave Surf Camp for the best surfing holiday ever! We are based at Balangan beach, South Bali, around half an hour from the airport.. We are close to all the main surf breaks in Bali and only a couple of minutes from the famous left hand point break at Balanganbeach.. We guarantee you will have the time of your life and we will get you to the best waves on the day, depending on your level of surfing and we cater for complete beginners, right through to advanced surfers..

OUR LOCATION

We are located, just a two minute scooter ride, or a 15 minute walk from the stunning, coconut lined, white sands of Balangan beach and our air conditioned transport will pick you up in the morning or afternoon to take you to the best spots on the day.. We are within a 20 minute drive to all the World famous surf spots on the Bukit peninsula..

These are just some of the great surf breaks near us but of course there are many many more! And the best thing.. Leave your wetsuit at home and just pull on a pair of boardshorts or bikini and come and surf with us in the warm, crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean !

 

ACCOMODATION

You will stay either in a twin or double room, or in one of our funky detached cottages.. All rooms have air-con and en-suite private bathrooms with shower! All rooms have their own private terrace, where you can hang out and chill after surfing!
The rooms are set in a lush tropical garden, with plenty of greenery and tropical fruits growing on the trees.. Our gardens also have traditional ‘Bale bengongs’ or what we call ‘a thinking place’.. These are traditional Balinese pagodas where you can sit, relax, read a book or listen to music, whilst sipping an ice cold beer or a cocktail.. Why not sling up your hammock and dream of perfect waves !

ABOUT OUR SURF CAMP

The main philosophy of our camp is ‘fun and good vibes’ Our instructors are all well qualified and come from different islands in Indonesia.. They all speak very good English and have been taking people surfing safely in the perfect waves of Bali for many years.. Local knowledge is the key to getting you to the best spots for your level of surfing !

We are also the only surf camp in Bali that has our very own skate park! Right next door to our bungalows is a smooth, concrete surf bowl and a mini-ramp that is free for our guests to use day and night.. So if you have energy left after surfing your legs off, bring a skateboard with you and shred and rip the bowl until your heart’s content..
Right next door to our camp is a cool, funky bar and restaurant, ‘la passion’ that has a great pool you can lounge around and shows surf movies on a big screen.. The bar also has live music most nights until 11pm and has many bar sports in an indoor area.. The food here is great fusion food with Pizza’s and Pasta. Eggs any style you like and of course local, spicy Indonesian food.. They also have an extensive spirit and cocktail list with happy hours and two for one offers.. The perfect place to wind down or rev up in the evenings!!
Opposite the camp is also a new restaurant and bar and mini-markets where you can purchase most supplies are less than 20 metres away.. Within a 1 to 2 minute walk there are many small restaurants serving local Indonesian food, right through to French organic cuisine.. You will never go hungry in our camp!
Down on the beach there are many local ‘warungs’ or cafes, serving Western and Indonesian food and of course our famous Indonesian beer, ‘bintang’.. In front of our surf camps warung we often have chilled beach parties, with barbecues and bonfires on the beach.. Watch the awesome sunsets, crack open a cold bintang and make great friends and memories, strumming a guitar around the fire !

 

OTHER ACTIVITIES

Fishing trips: We can organise fishing trips for you, where you can take out a boat and catch fish such as tuna, Spanish mackerel, mahimahi, red snapper, white snapper, GT’s and many other types of reef fish also !
Stand up paddle boarding and canoeing: We can arrange these activities down at Jimbaran beach. Snorkelling and diving trips can also be arranged..
UluwatuKecak dance: Experience the World famous kecak dance at Uluwatu temple, perched on the edge of a cliff.. This spectacular Balinese dance/theatre performance is something you must see as the sun sets behind the temple and into the sea..
Cultural Performances: Bali is a real live living culture and there are too many cultural events to mention.. Whatever you wish to do we can organise it..
Jimbaran seafood sunset dinner: Jimbaran beach is only 10 minutes away and is famous for its seafood cafes and barbecues on the beach..
Clubs, bars and beach clubs: There are many really funky bars and beach clubs in the Bukit area and we will point you in the right direction, whether you want to sip cocktails at an exclusive beach club, or chill at cliff top bars, it’s all here in the Bukit..
Scooter hire: Of course our drivers will be taking you to all the surf spots but if you require a motor bike or scooter to use during your free time, we can easily arrange this and for a very good price..
